Win or lose, retirement seems unlikely for UFC 126's Rich Franklin
February 02, 2011 (19:30) [ Indexed from MMAjunkie
Perhaps it's the recent win over Chuck Liddell. Or his newfound title contention.
Or, perhaps most likely, it's the layoff that's given him his first extended break to recover from an assortment of injuries that have dinged the fan favorite during his dozen years of professional MMA competition.
Whatever the reason, don't expect UFC 126 co-headliner Rich Franklin to call it quits anytime soon.

While hanging out with former UFC middleweight champ Rich Franklin, MMA H.E.A.T.'s Karyn Bryant turns the conversation to football. UFC 123 co-headliner B.J. Penn taking a page out of Rich Franklin's handbook
November 19, 2010 (16:45) [ Indexed from MMAjunkie
DETROIT - In many ways, B.J. Penn is in Rich Franklin territory.
Franklin, the UFC's former middleweight champion, ultimately lost his title and a rematch to Anderson Silva, and he bounced between two divisions before settling on the light-heavyweight division.
As with Franklin, Penn - who's coming off a similar set of defeats to lightweight champ Frankie Edgar - knows Saturday's UFC 123 event could be the beginning of some weight-class uncertainty. But he's not complaining.
