A week before his pay-per-view fight with Tito Ortiz, former champ and
UFC 133 headliner Rashad Evans made a guest appearance on "Late Night
with Jimmy Fallon."
Evans joined Friday's edition of the NBC late-night talk show.
During his segment, he discussed his pre-fight routine, imitated his
mom, and recalled a pivotal conversation he had with Randy Couture prior
to Evans' defining fight with Chuck Liddell.

UFC president Dana White was so desperate to find a replacement for injured Phil Davis that he considered scrapping a UFC 133 preliminary-card bout and promoting Vladimir Matyushenko to a UFC 133 headliner with Rashad Evans.
White confirmed the potential fight during today's UFC media call.

Tito Ortiz has found the will to save the day.
Just hours after telling MMAjunkie.com that he wasn't going to fight Rashad Evans in the interest of making the best career choice, it appears the best career choice is to do it anyway.
UFC president Dana White today confirmed via Twitter that Ortiz and Evans will meet in the headliner of UFC 133, which takes place Aug. 6 at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.

Rashad Evans will get his shot at revenge.
Less than 24 hours after Phil Davis was forced to withdraw from a planned UFC 133 main-event matchup with Evans, Lyoto Machida has agreed to take his place, according to Yahoo! Sports' Kevin Iole.
The pair will now square off in the headlining contest of the Aug. 6 event, which takes place at Philadelphia's Wells Fargo Center. The main card, including the new Machida vs. Evans rematch, airs on pay-per-view.

Former friends and training partners Jon Jones and Rashad Evans have been at the center of an
increasingly bitter feud, but that difference won't be settled in the
cage anytime soon, according to UFC president Dana White.
While an Evans win in a UFC 133 matchup with Phil Davis would
unquestionably keep him at the top of the light heavyweight division,
the champion will need to book an event before then.
"We'll have to make a decision (on Jones' next fight) before [Evans]
fights," White told MMAjunkie.com. "We probably will
make a decision after this weekend."
