TORONTO - It's unfortunate when otherwise intelligent people say really stupid things. But to get out the pitchfork and punish, that's another matter.
So said UFC president Dana White today when asked by MMAjunkie.com for a reaction on the comments made by former light-heavyweight champ Rashad Evans, who's off-color comments on the recent Penn State scandal ended a pre-event press conference promoting UFC on FOX 2 on a bad note.
"It's not like I'm dealing with stupid people here," White said.
UFC 137 drug tests come back clean

All 17 fighters who underwent drug testing at this past month's UFC 137 event tested clean for performance-enhancing drugs and recreational/drugs of abuse.
Nevada State Athletic Commission Executive Director Keith Kizer today e-mailed the drug-testing results to MMAjunkie.com.
UFC 137 took place Oct. 29 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas with a Nick Diaz vs. B.J. Penn pay-per-view headliner.

When Evan Cutts first started karate classes a gym nearby his Keller, Texas home, the teenager didn't have a future fighting career in mind. In fact, he chuckles now at what he had in mind.
"I thought I would be the next Robin Hood or something," Cutts told MMAjunkie.com. "I thought, 'Man, if I see someone getting mugged, I'll be like Spider-Man and come in and help them.' Like a local vigilante or something.
"It's funny to think about that now."

Nick Diaz ($200,000), B.J. Penn ($150,000), Cheick Kongo ($140,000) and Brandon Vera ($120,000) were the top earners at this past weekend's UFC 137 event.
Overall, the 22 fighters who competed on the card earned purses totaling $1,026,000.

That said, UFC president Dana White isn't 100 percent certain both Mirko
"Cro Cop" Filipovic and B.J. Penn have entered the cage for the final time.

each earned $75,000 fight-night bonuses for their performances
at Saturday's UFC 137 event.
Palaszewski earned the night's "Knockout of the Night" award, Cerrone picked up
the "Submission of the Night" bonus, and Diaz and Penn took home
"Fight of the Night" honors.
