As expected Phil Davis officially has replaced injured Tito Ortiz and now meets Antonio Rogerio Nogueira in the headliner of next month's UFC Fight Night 24 event.
UFC president Dana White tweeted the changed over the weekend, and executives since have made it official on its website.
As MMAjunkie.com reported, Ortiz suffered an accidental training-session headbutt and received 22 stitches. An MRI and CT scan indicated no serious damage, but the wound forced Ortiz to withdraw from the bout.

The UFC's first-ever trip to Washington has undergone a major overhaul.
UFC president Dana White today announced that Ortiz has been forced out
of the UFC Fight Night 24 main event, and Phil Davis has been tapped as a
replacement opponent for Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.
UFC Fight Night 24 takes place March 26 at KeyArena in Seattle and airs live on Spike TV.

Former PRIDE and UFC heavyweight champ Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira is not yet out of the woods in getting back to fighting shape.
Nogueira soon will undergo a second arthroscopic surgery on his hips and still is recovering from ACL surgery on his left knee. He likely faces several months of physical therapy before he is able to train again at full speed.
After initially targeting a return in spring, manager Ed Soares today told MMAjunkie.com Radio the fighter now eyes a return at the UFC's second trip to Brazil, which is slated for Aug. 27.

One day after UFC brass officially announced the company was coming to
Seattle, the promotion has given fans a better idea of what exactly is
coming to town.
UFC executives today added five more contests to the UFC Fight Night 24
lineup, including John Hathaway vs. Kris McCray, Michael McDonald vs.
Nick Pace, Sean McCorkle vs. Christian Morecraft, Mario Miranda vs.
Aaron Simpson and Dennis Hallman vs. T.J. Waldburger.
