Fedor Emelianenko is the title, tournament, and big
fish all wrapped into one, says Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva.
He's not even remotely concerned about what comes next.
Some look at Silva as a mere placeholder for the Russian's advance in
the Strikeforce heavyweight grand prix. "Bigfoot" says they're about to
get a big surprise, just like they did this past summer.

Two of the world's top heavyweights may cross promotional boundaries and one big ocean for some training.
In a recent media call promoting his Feb. 12 fight with Antonio Silva, Strikeforce grand-prix entrant and famed veteran Fedor Emelianenko said his fight camp will be based in his native Russia but that he'd like to train with someone such as Shane Carwin.
The U.S.-based Carwin said it'd be an "honor."

Strikeforce CEO: We're "getting very close" with Fedor Emelianenko negotiations

ST. LOUIS - Prior to Saturday's "Strikeforce: Henderson vs. Babalu II," a few industry insiders suggested officials might announce a contract extension with famed heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko during the Showtime broadcast.
The announcement, of course, never came.
But following the show, which took place at St. Louis' Scottrade Center, Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker confirmed the organization has made some progress in the negotiations.
