Middleweight Michael Bisping still was digesting news that Anderson Silva planned to take a year off from fighting when he spoke to MMAjunkie.com Radio.
Since then, Silva has reversed course - if he ever changed course at all - and volunteered to fight welterweight champ Georges St-Pierre, who will now decide whether the superfight is in his best interest.
Whatever Silva's plan is, Michael Bisping wants to make sure his middleweight division doesn't get left behind.

Following his win over Carlos Condit this past Saturday, UFC welterweight champ Georges St-Pierre questioned whether he needed to gain weight at all to fight middleweight kingpin Anderson Silva.
Silva, he said, fought in PRIDE at 168 pounds and possibly carried the kind of frame suited to weight gains and drops - unlike him.
Silva again expressed his desire to fight St-Pierre following UFC 154. And while UFC President Dana White still hopes to make the match in 2013, one incentive would likely be off the table if Silva dropped to welterweight: GSP's belt.

After Anderson Silva successfully defended his UFC middleweight title against Chael Sonnen for the second time, UFC President Dana White sat down in front of reporters and tried, as best he could, to explain to us what it was like to work with the world's greatest fighter.
"I swear to God, it's like dealing with an artist," White said. "It's like dealing with an artist or some big, crazy, talented actor. That's what it's like."
The thing is, White wasn't complaining.
