Ricky Glenn plots upset of 'impressive' Grant Dawson in UFC Fight Night 196 co-main event

Ricky Glenn wants to take advantage of his biggest octagon opportunity to date with a win over Grant Dawson in the UFC Fight Night 196 co-main event.

Glenn (22-6-1 MMA, 4-3 UFC) knows it won’t be an easy task, though. Dawson (17-1 MMA, 5-0 UFC) is considered one of the brightest prospects in the lightweight division going into Saturday’s matchup at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The card streams on ESPN+.

At this stage of his career, however, Glenn said he’s full prepared to capitalize. He said he’s healthier and better trained than he has been at any point in recent memory, and hopes that bares fruit on fight night.

“He’s impressive,” Glenn told MMA Junkie and other reporters during Wednesday’s UFC Fight Night 196 media day. “Got a lot of hype behind him. I’m the underdog, so I want to prove everyone wrong. This is another bump up with my UFC journey, so I’m looking forward to taking advantage of it.”
