“Lionheart” received a $50,000 “Performance of the Night” bonus for his shellacking of Mauricio Rua in the UFC Fight Night 134 headliner at Barclaycard Arena in Hamburg, Germany, on Sunday. The end came 1:29 into the opening stanza, as Smith put “Shogun” on rubbery legs with a series of punches to the head, ultimately sealing his victory with a vicious elbow and two follow-up punches before referee Marc Goddard to step in to intervene.

Elsewhere, Danny Roberts and David Zawada received “Fight of the Night” honors and $50,000 apiece for their featured welterweight scrap. In a competitive bout, many of the most interesting moments of the contest occurred during back-and-forth grappling exchanges. Ultimately, Roberts did just enough to capture a split-decision victory.

Finally, Manny Bermudez garnered the card’s other $50,000 “Performance of the Night” paycheck for a quick finish of Davey Grant at bantamweight. Bermudez dropped his foe with a right hand early before following his man to the ground and eventually transitioning to a triangle choke, rendering Grant unconscious 59 seconds into the opening stanza.
