‘Infectious Eye Condition’ Forces Nasrat Haqparast Out of UFC Fight Night 127
An eye infection ultimately kept Nasrat
Haqparast from competing at UFC
Fight Night 127 in London on Saturday.
The Las Vegas-based promotion announced the cancellation of Haqparast’s featherweight clash against Nad Narimanik on Saturday morning. Narimani had stepped in on short notice for the injured Alex Reyes earlier in the week.
The UFC’s statement is as follows:
Based on advice from the UFC medical team on Saturday morning, Nasrat Haqparast was deemed unfit to fight due to an infectious eye condition and his bout against Nad Narimani has been canceled.
Haqparast, meanwhile, saw an eight-bout winning streak come to an end in his Octagon debut at UFC Fight Night 118, where he dropped a three-round verdict against Marcin Held.
Haqparast released a statement via Instagram following the cancellation.
