The event took place at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas, and saw Donald Cerrone earn a first-round stoppage of Yancy Medeiros in the evening’s welterweight headliner. In the co-main event, Derrick Lewis defeated Marcin Tybura via third-round knockout at heavyweight. However, the card peaked earlier in the evening, when 1.078 million viewers tuned in for a lightweight clash between Sage Northcutt and Thibault Gouti.

UFC Fight Night 126 had some stiff sports competition on television, as it went head-to-head with the Winter Olympics on NBC and the NBA All-Star Game on TNT.

Meanwhile, the UFC Fight Night 126 prelims on FS1 averaged 675,000 viewers. Carlos Diego Ferreira vs. Jared Gordon was the featured bout on that portion of the card.

Elsewhere, Bellator 194 attracted 476,000 viewers to the Paramount Network on Friday night. The card was headlined by a heavyweight grand prix bout between Matt Mitrione and Roy Nelson, which Mitrione won via majority decision. In the co-main event, Patricky Freier defeated Derek Campos by TKO in the opening stanza.

The ratings for the event slightly surpassed Bellator 193, which was headlined by a catchweight tilt between Lorenz Larkin and Fernando Gonzalez and averaged 470,000 viewers on Paramount Network.
