Talita Oliveira Replaces Germaine de Randamie, Faces Marion Reneau at UFC Fight Night 115

Against the odds, Marion Reneau is going to get to fight in the Netherlands after all.

“The Belizean Bruiser” will now face once-defeated Brazilian Talita de Oliveira Bernardo in a bantamweight bout at UFC Fight Night 115. Reneau was originally scheduled to face inaugural UFC women's featherweight champion Germaine de Randamie in her return to the 135-pound division, but a lingering hand injury forced the Dutch striker out of the contest late last weeek.

UFC officials confirmed the pairing on Monday, following an initial report from MMABrasil.com.

The 40-year-old Reneau opened up her UFC campaign in 2015 with a pair of upsets, knocking off Alexis Dufresne and future UFC strawweight title contender Jessica Andrade. Reneau then suffered back-to-back decision losses to eventual UFC bantamweight queen Holly Holm and Ashlee Evans-Smith. Reneau rebounded with a third-round stoppage of Milana Dudieva last November, but settled for a majority draw against Bethe Correia this past March.

Oliveira, a product of Parana Vale Tudo, has won four straight since suffering her lone career loss in April 2015, to undefeated prospect Juliana Velasquez. In her last bout this past April, Oliveira choked out Hungary's Iren Racz in just over four minutes.

UFC Fight Night 115 takes place on Sept. 2 from Ahoy Rotterdam in Rotterdam, Netherlands, headlined by a heavyweight clash between Dutchman Stefan Struve and Russia's Alexander Volkov. The event airs in its entirety on UFC Fight Pass.
